Now here’s a reproduction cap that anyone would be proud to own and show. This is a replica of a cap worn by Major West who was commander of the First Regular Battery of CS Light Artillery and saw action at Baton Rouge in August 1862. The cap features red sides with Cadet grey band and top. Four rows of gold Flat braid on the sides and top. Wide gold braid on the band. Black cotton lining. Deluxe leather brim with edge binding. The detailing on this kepis is quite superb with intricate braiding on the crown set with an embroidered gold-thread, three-dimensional badge. Historically accurate design. Comes in three sizes.

Beautiful Civil War Kepi/cap
Absolutely beautifully done. This CSA artillery Majors cap has been put together with an eye to high standards of quality and the price was great. It did not get this cap because it was CSA but because it was just a great looking historical reproduction. I couldn't take my eyes off it. Fast delivery time. Jim M. on 26th May 2022
