Quick Overview:
Four reinforcing bars firmly riveted to skull-plates form the dome of this helmet. It features a high level of craftsmanship throughout its construction. All components are finely finished and well-connected in their assembly. All rivets are evenly spaced and set throughout the helm's construction. The entire piece has been burnished to a high sheen. This helmet is similar to examples found from the Vendel period, such as those found at Valsgarde, Sweden and the famous Sutton Hoo Helm found in Suffolk, England. Many of these helms feature face-plates and ocular face-guards.
Beautiful Adjustable Liner & Chinstrap - This helmet comes complete with a leather chinstrap and liner almost half a centimetre thick (3.5mm). Each strap is Y-shaped and attaches to two different points of the helmet: making it twice as strong as helmets that make a single connection on each side. This ensures less movement of the helmet and the preponderance of thick leather around the jawline adds to your protection. The buckle is solid brass and of an authentic medieval design too. The internal leather liner is comfortable, malleable and fully adjustable - it can be loosened or tightened to fine-tune the helmet to your requirements.
